About DANCE NOW Boston
DANCE NOW Boston brings together exceptional artists from New York and Boston to share the stage in two programs over two weekends at Dance Complex produced by The Bang Group’s David Parker and Jeffrey Kazin in partnership with The Dance Complex and DANCE NOW NYC. This popular series is now in its 9th season. The first program on May 11 and 12 features venerated Boston artists Jimena Bermejo, Lynn Modell, Marcus Schulkind, and Tony Williams along with The Bang Group from NYC. The second program on May 18 and 19 will feature innovative Boston artists Joe Gonzalez, Audrey Maclean, Boston Dance Theater’s Trainee Program and The Bang Group. The second program will also feature Felipe Galganni, renowned Brazilian drag-tap artist who is based in NYC. DANCE NOW Boston is committed to expanding the possibilities that emerge from building a creative bridge between the dance communities in Boston and New York City.

About The Bang Group

The Bang Group is a New York-based theatrical dance company which spans percussive and contemporary forms with wit and gusto. TBG tours widely throughout North America and Europe and is best-known for its comic-subversive, neo-vaudeville Nutcracker called Nut/Cracked now celebrating its 22nd season. TBG has a long relationship with Boston artists and audiences through its sustained partnerships at Concord Summer Stages, The Institute of Contemporary Art and The Dance Complex. TBG also presents other dance artists through its series at Arts On Site in New York City, The Flea Theater, The West End Theater and DANCE NOW Boston, now in its 9th season.
