Explore the expressive possibilities of two iconic flamenco elements: the mantón (shawl) and abanico (fan). This workshop focuses on the technical and artistic use of these traditional accessories, developing coordination, strength, timing, and movement quality while enhancing stage presence and expressive range. Students will learn fundamental techniques, combinations, and choreographic applications that integrate the mantón and abanico naturally into flamenco dance. Suitable for dancers wishing to expand their technical skills and artistic vocabulary.

Flamenco (Music, Dance, and Art Form): Flamenco is a traditional art form from Andalusia, Spain, that integrates cante (singing), toque (guitar playing), baile (dance), and rhythmic elements such as palmas (handclapping). Developed through diverse cultural influences, including Spanish Romani (Gitano) traditions, flamenco reflects a rich history of cultural interaction and is recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage.
