Join us for outdoor classes in partnership with the City of Cambridge and the Cambridge Plays series! No pre-registration is required and these classes are free to participate in. We can’t wait to move with you in the park!

Come to a family folk dance at the park.  We will do dances from all over the world that everyone can join. Circle dances, solo dances, and more. Come join the fun, no experience required!

Andy teaches Modern 55+ at The Dance Complex on Monday and Wednesday mornings, and Modern/Jazz on Sunday mornings.

Bio:

Andy Taylor started International Folk dancing at a young age under the guidance of her parents, Marianne and Conny Taylor, cofounders of the Folk Arts Center of New England — and her older sister Micki, who taught her hambo polska at age 4. Andy was certified in Scottish Country Dance teaching at 17 and graduated with a BFA in dance and a minor in Social Anthropology.  Andy is the artistic director of Mladost Folk Ensemble, a youth folk dance troupe which she founded upon the death of her father in 2006 and continues in the spirit of her parents’ work.   

Andy has taught modern, jazz and International Folk Dance for over five decades. She has certifications in Scottish Country dance, Better Brain and Balance, Autism Dance Therapy and has taught locally and nationally. Her training in modern dance includes Horton, Limon, Simonson Technique and Luigi Jazz.
