12:30-1:30 Workshop with Megatron
Move with waacking legend, Yyoyo, and internationally recognized popping OG, Megatron all while raising money for local street and club dance artists through the Boston Street Dancers Fund. These classes are taught in the spirit of having fun and building community while learning a bit of the history that defines these two distinct styles of street dance. Both workshops are designed for beginners.

Waacking is a club dance that originated in gay club scene of LA. The style is famous for its sweeping arm movements and dramatic poses. Popping is a genre of street dance that is most famously known for it’s isolated contracting and relaxing of muscles in the body to capture the movement of a robot. But popping is a huge umbrella term that includes waving, boogaloo, and strobing to name a few.
