12:30-1:30 Dance Party 101 with Carl Alleyne

Get ready to move, laugh, and party with two street dance workshops—no dance experience required! First, it’s Dancehall with Chanel with a focus on Dancehall hits from the 90s. Dancehall is a syncopated offshoot of reggae from the Caribbean. Next, it’s Dance Party 101 with Carl that grooves through iconic street dance styles from Hip Hop and House to Soul Train and Locking. These classes are taught with care, fun, and a “party-first” vibe. These workshops are all about letting loose, celebrating music from different eras, and enjoying the joy of dance together.

Cost: $25 individual workshop; $40 for both, but there is an option to give a larger donation
