What is the legacy of the genre/form/style you are teaching?

BollyHop is a fusion dance style that blends Bollywood dance with hip-hop foundations. Unlike “Bollywood” on its own—which can incorporate many styles (classical, folk, jazz, contemporary, commercial, etc.)—BollyHop specifically emphasizes hip-hop movement vocabulary while maintaining Bollywood musicality, expression, and storytelling.

What background, training, and or relationship do you have with this style/technique/class subject?

Anitha began her professional journey with the Shiamak Davar Dance Company, where she trained and performed as a dancer and instructor. She has been part of prestigious productions including IIFA Awards, Filmfare Awards, and numerous national and international live events, sharing the stage with some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry.

Finish this statement: I am passionate about teaching this style because…

I can spread the love of South Asian dance and culture.
