A community gathering and regenerative journey through movement, music and play! Aula bilingüe en inglés y español. All ages 18+ welcome. No experience needed – come as you are, with your curious heart and a desire to connect with yourself and others.
Each class moves through life-affirming exercises that take the form of dances and other movements that connect with everyday life, paired with carefully-chosen, inspiring music from around the world. Each is an invitation into vivencia, experiences of vividly lived present moments, which build on each other to open up new ways of relating with ourselves, each other, and the world around us. Experience a pathway to reclaim what is most life-giving for each of us, connect with your inner strength and innate creativity, move to heal your emotional and physical body, grow personal and collective resilience and your capacity for being in the here and now as it is, as we discover new ways of moving through life, learning how to live together as human beings, and celebrating and building on all the good.

What is the legacy of the genre/form/style you are teaching?
Biodanza is a gentle and powerful integrative system promoting human development both personal and collective. It was originally developed in Chile during the 1960’s by Rolando Toro Araneda, an educator, psychologist and artist, as part of movements to humanize education and medicine.
What background, training, and or relationship do you have with this style/technique/class subject?
My professional practice centers around designing participatory arts experiences, community facilitation and capacity-building, and embodied nervous system learning through play. I am a certified Biodanza facilitator and have been teaching Biodanza since 2007. Currently I lead Biodanza groups bilingually in English and Spanish across Massachusetts, and am in the process of becoming a mentor for other Biodanza teachers. My work to grow this truly beautiful and generative collective practice across the region, and to amplify its impact by expanding its accessibility and application in local communities, is funded in part by a grant from New England Foundation for the Arts’ New England Dance Fund..
Finish this statement: I am passionate about teaching this style because…
…it’s a beautiful practice that keeps me learning, grounded in myself and our interrelatedness, and has such an impact beyond our dancing time together. Biodanza has become core in my mission to reweave lost connection, bring social change and address key public health challenges through dance.
