What is the legacy of the genre/form/style you are teaching?

Beginning Hip Hop is a class that introduces you to the foundations of street dance with a fun, beginner-friendly approach. You’ll learn some of the hottest party moves and simple choreography, all rooted in Hip Hop’s rich history and culture. This class isn’t about pressure or perfection, it’s about moving, building confidence, being present, and having a great time on the dance floor!

What background, training, and or relationship do you have with this style/technique/class subject?

Carl has been involved with the entertainment industry for over 32 years. A native Bostonian, he has spent his time performing, teaching, and choreographing in different parts of the world at many venues. He has shared the stage with artists like Sir Elton John, Neill Young, Ray Charles, Fabolous, and Glady Knight to name a few, He’s trained with and danced with many street dance legends.

He co-founded Boston’s own BeanTown Lockers.
