Afro Flow Yoga® is an embodied practice integrating dance movements of the African diaspora with meditative yoga and live healing music, promoting individual and collective healing in a compassionate, diverse, non-judgmental, inclusive, and safe environment. Afro Flow Yoga® is a unique approach to physical, emotional, and mental wellness. All genders, abilities, ages, and levels are welcome.

Leslie and Jeff uncovered the rich legacy of dances and rhythms that persisted through slavery and colonization, along with the often-overlooked history of yoga in Africa. They created Afro Flow Yoga®, blending Leslie’s expertise in yoga and African and Afro-Caribbean dance with Jeff’s mastery of traditional African instruments. Their practice focuses on empowerment, education, healing, spirituality, and wellness.

Leslie is an Alvin Ailey-trained dancer, yoga teacher, and wellness coach. Jeff is a multi-instrumentalist and composer with extensive global experience.

…It was the connection with African spirituality, yogic principles, the intrinsic expression of movement through nature’s elements and a transformational journey throughout Africa and the Caribbean, that inspired Leslie and Jeff to create Afro Flow Yoga® in 2008.
