What is the legacy of the genre/form/style you are teaching?

Hip Hop Style Based out of New York City.

What background, training, and or relationship do you have with this style/technique/class subject?

My relationship with hip-hop style is both personal and professional. I was born into the culture through my Jamaican heritage and American upbringing, which shaped my connection to hip-hop from an early age. For over a decade, I have trained in hip-hop dance and street styles and have been fortunate to learn from mentors such as Mr. Wiggles, Ian Eastwood, and other influential dance pioneers. As a teacher, I have dedicated years to studying, preserving, and sharing these styles, supported by my professional development and education at Dean College.

Finish this statement: I am passionate about teaching this style because…

I Aim to Inspire to Create, Create to Inspire.
