Body Kintsugi is a reflective movement workshop that invites women, especially women of color, to reconnect with their bodies through music, guided expression, and somatic exploration. Inspired by the Japanese art of Kintsugi, where broken pottery is repaired with gold, this practice honors the emotional and physical “cracks” we carry, not as flaws, but as part of our story.

Participants are gently guided through a journey that begins with grounding and connection, then opens into body-based exploration and release. We make space for healing, softness, and self-acceptance through intuitive movement, intentional touch, vocal expression, and affirming group practices.

This is not about choreography or performance—it’s about presence, care, and coming home to yourself. No experience is needed—just a willingness to be present with your body, as it is.

Zanya Harriott is an artist, educator, and healing facilitator whose work centers embodied healing, cultural reflection, and community connection. She is the creator of Body Kintsugi, a movement-based practice that invites women, especially women of color, to reconnect with their bodies through guided movement, music, and self-reflection. Zanya holds a master’s in education and over seven years of experience leading spaces for transformation and care. Her practice bridges the emotional, spiritual, and somatic to create brave, affirming spaces for personal and collective healing.
