Two 90-Minute Ballet Master Classes: Led by Spencer Keith (Artistic Advisor) on Saturday and Janelle Gilchrist (Artistic Director) on Sunday. Three Hours of Choreography & Repertoire Workshops: Hands-on instruction with Janelle Gilchrist. A 90-Minutes on Saturday and 90-Minutes on Sunday. Works-in-Progress Showings: Interactive informal showings at the end of each afternoon session to share and observe class work.
Cost: Pre-registration rates end 10/1. Rates increase by $10 at the door:

What is the legacy of the genre/form/style you are teaching?
1.5-Hour Ballet Master Class: An upbeat technique class featuring fun, dynamic combinations designed to challenge both your technical precision and artistic expression.
1.5-Hour Choreography Workshop: Learn authentic JGDT repertoire directly from Artistic Director Janelle Gilchrist, exploring her signature contemporary ballet style.
Works-in-Progress Showing: A casual, supportive showing at the end of each day to share what you learned.
What background, training, and or relationship do you have with this style/technique/class subject?
Janelle Gilchrist trained in ballet, modern, and jazz at schools including Boston Ballet School, José Mateo Ballet Theatre, Dance Theatre of Harlem, and The Hartt School (BFA in Dance Performance). She has danced professionally with José Mateo Ballet Theatre and City Ballet Boston, performing featured roles such as the Sugar Plum Fairy in Anthony Williams’ Urban Nutcracker. She holds a Master of Arts in Teaching from Mount Holyoke College, serves as a full-time dance educator at the Dr. Albert D. Holland High School of Technology, and is an Assistant Professor of Dance at Boston Conservatory. She brings a practical, supportive approach to teaching ballet—focusing on solid technique, musicality, and artistic expression. As Founder and Artistic Director of Janelle Gilchrist Dance Troupe, she draws on this lifelong foundation to create and share dynamic, approachable repertoire.
