Though Flamenco was developed in Spain\, it also receives other cultural influence from places like Africa and South America. These influences enrich the complexity and the beauty of Flamenco. \nWhat background\, training\, and or relationship do you have with this style/technique/class subject?\nYu-Ling Hu was a former dancer of Ensemble Español Spanish Dance Theater (EESDT). She received all four styles of Spanish dance training: Classical Spanish Dance\, Flamenco\, Escuela Bolera and folkloric dance while in EESDT. Yu-Ling has studied from several masters such as Carmela Greco\, Omayra Amaya\, Paloma Gomez and Concha Jareño to name the few. Yu-Ling toured with EESDT nationally and internationally since 2007 and she performed in many cities and festivals\, including Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival\, Chicago Dance Festival\, Dance for Life and etc. Yu-Ling also received her Master degree in Dance/Movement Therapy & Counseling from Columbia College Chicago and she is a board certified Dance/Movement Therapist.
