What is the legacy of the genre/form/style you are teaching?
Brazilian Zouk is a Latin dance which began in Brazil during the early 1990s. It originated from a Brazilian dance called Lambada with influences from other Brazilian dances. Brazilian Zouk is commonly characterized with creating a close connection between the two partners allowing for a dance experience than can flow for long periods of time. |
What background, training, and or relationship do you have with this style/technique/class subject?
The instruction provided to the attendees of this class has been derived from the influence of many Brazilian Zouk world-renowned professionals where we’ve taken their learnings and shaped them for the Boston community. |
What can students expect from this class?
Class structure: 8-9pm: Discussion & exercises relating to Brazilian Zouk concepts 9-9:30pm: Practica on class’s concept 9:30-10pm: Social dance environment |
