What is the legacy of the genre/form/style you are teaching?
Pilates was developed by Joseph Pilates in Mönchengladbach, Germany. It was created and inspired to bring together the mind and body, to control and rehabilitate movement patterns. Pilates is complete coordination of body, mind and spirit. |
What background, training, and or relationship do you have with this style/technique/class subject?
Britney is a seasoned instructor, who fuses her years of knowledge to deliver a powerful and thoughtful class. She gained her knowledge of Pilates through study of both classic and contemporary techniques; including the lineages of Kathy Grant, Romana Kryzanowska, and the STOTT Pilates method. Britney combines these techniques to provide a well rounded, full body movement practice each time you step onto the mat. Britney’s sequences with all levels in mind and focuses on celebrating your body’s strengths through mindful and intentional movement. |
