World-renowned Cuban dance instructor Yanek Revilla is touring the United States with his wife and dance partner, Yisel, from Santiago de Cuba, and will be stopping in Boston during the weekend of September 28-29! Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from a master from Cuba! We will be offering four, 1hr workshops on Cuban dance styles: Son and Casino on Saturday Sept 28 and Rueda and AfroCuban movement on Sunday Sept 29. These classes will be open to all levels, except for the Rueda class at 1pm on Sunday, which requires previous Rueda experience. |

What is the legacy of the genre/form/style you are teaching?
Cuban dance has a deep history, from the partner dances of Son and Casino to the AfroCuban dances of Rumba and the Orisha’s. Yanek and Yisel are from Santiago de Cuba and have trained in these dances and have taught in Cuba and internationally to share these beautiful dances and to preserve this rich culture. |
What background, training, and or relationship do you have with this style/technique/class subject?
Yanek Revilla and Yisel Cuba have trained extensively in Cuba and have been teaching and performing Cuban dance for many years within Cuba and across Europe and the United States. |
