What is the legacy of the genre/form/style you are teaching?

This is traditional West African Dance from Mali. Most dances & rhythms are ceremonial and emulate the joy of when community & music meet.

What background, training, and or relationship do you have with this style/technique/class subject?

I have been dancing Traditional Malian dance for over 40 years. It is more than dance to me, it is a representation of where I come from; my culture and its cherished practices.
