Sela Bailey (Tap) has been tapping for as long as she can remember – growing up she wouldn’t buy a pair of shoes without testing out whether she could tap in them. While at Smith College she studied in the Five College Dance Department, performing with the Celebrations Dance Company and the U-Mass University Dancers. She was a founding member of the Terpsichore Ensemble in Amherst, MA and taught tap classes in Amherst and Northampton, MA. Since moving to Boston after pursuing her Master of Architecture from the University of Virginia, she has returned to the studio, studying with and assisting Maureen Cosgrove. She is excited about carrying on the tradition of Boston Tap, established by Maureen in 1976, and looking forward to teaching the Level 1 and Level 2 tap classes at the Dance Complex.
