Class Schedule
NOTICE:
The Dance Complex will be CLOSED on Saturday, July
4th, in observation of the holiday. The
Dance Complex will be CLOSED on Friday, July 3rd,
starting at 1pm. We
are open on Sunday, July 5th. Please see schedule
below for further class cancellations.
Dear Dancers, In years past, when important issues needed discussion,
we held community meetings. This notice will need
to represent such an assembly. The major news is
our impending renovations.
As we've always done, we close The Complex near the last 2 weeks in
August; this year Labor Day is a bit later. From
Sunday, 23 August until Tuesday, 8 September, S&H
Construction will be overseeing the deconstruction
of the lobby and men's locker room and the creation
of a fully accessible bathroom. The full scope of
renovations will bring the offices to the main floor,
move the reception desk back a few feet, relocate
the men's locker room to the same floor as Studio
2, and install a small gender neutral bathroom on
that level also. To prepare for this, the offices
need to find a temporary home, as do all the lockers,
sinks and paraphernalia intrinsic to major remodeling
It's very exciting.
Since we first established our stewardship of the Odd Fellows Hall
18 years ago, a major goal has been to make it accessible
to as many people as possible. This is the final
step to bring that dream to reality. As always,
we will stay open during this process and do our
best to keep the building clean and safe for all
dancers. The best of intentions still requires forbearance.
And flexibility. Luckily, dancers are known for
this. Happy Dancyn, Rozann Kraus.

classes are on-going and can be attended on a drop-in basis.

are listed below with registration information and requirements.

Class prices range from $8-$14 per class. Schedule and prices are subject to change; see below for weekly cancellations,
substitutes or changes, or contact the teacher directly. In
the case of inclement weather, please call 617.547.9363 and the main voice message will announce building closure. Street shoes are never allowed in any studio (however, you may bring
a clean pair of shoes to use).
CCAE- Designates Cambridge Center for Adult Education classes.
These classes are open for walk-in participation and are held
as usual when CCAE is out of session. To register for
a full course, contact CCAE at 617.547.6789 or visit
www.CCAE.org.

Complex WorkStudy Program- Interested
in working in exchange for classes or rehearsal space? Want
to become more involved in the Greater Boston dance community?
The WorkStudy Program may work for you! Please visit our Programs
Page for more information.
Gift Certificates can be made for up to $50.00 (plus $5.00 processing fee for each certificate)
and can be used for classes or rehearsals. You can stop by
the Complex between 9am - 5pm, Mon - Fri to purchase a certificate
with a DC staff person. Otherwise, please send an addressed,
stamped envelope along with a check/money order made out to
The Dance Complex for the amount of the certificate (+$5 fee
- make sure the check has your name, address, and phone number
listed). Include the full name of the certificate recipient.
We will send the certificate along with a Dance Complex schedule
in the envelope you provide within 48 hours of receipt. Sorry,
we do not accept credit card payments. For details call 617.547.9363.

Shared Coreographers' Concert
THE NEXT SCC WILL BE OCT 9
& 10. Showings are Sunday, 9/13 and Saturday,
9/26. The application deadline is 5pm, Tuesday,
September 8th. Mentors will be Shawn Mahoney, Brian
Feidenbaum, and Rozann Kraus. For information about
