| What is the legacy of the genre/form/style you are teaching?
Flamenco is a form of music and dance that commonly associates with Andalusian region of Spain. Though Flamenco was developed in Spain, it also receives other cultural influence from places like Africa and South America. These influences enrich the complexity and the beauty of Flamenco. |
| What background, training, and or relationship do you have with this style/technique/class subject?
Yu-Ling danced and toured with Ensemble Español Spanish Dance Theater (EESDT) for ten years and received training in four styles of Spanish dance. Yu-Ling’s work and training has been influenced by several masters such as Omayra Amaya, Paloma Gomez, Carlos Rodriguez, Concha Jareño and La Choni. |
